SOILED CHRISTIANITY

joaqinSince it was a holiday today, we spent the whole day with the family.

– Biked to Riverbanks with Ryan and Janina early in the morning.
– Got our bikes fixed with Nathan and Joaquin
– Went to High Street – Krispy Kreme (of course!), Fully Booked, walked around while Nathan ‘waveboarded’, Janina ‘skateboarded’ and Ryan ‘scootered’ while Joaquin enjoyed his new stroller.

Swung by Shop Wise to get a few things for Nathan’s school.  By the way, ‘Yang Chow’ Restaurant in Shop Wise has some great Chinese food.

But before we got to Shop Wise, we had to change Joaquin’s soiled diapers (soiled means filled with poop to those who are not sure with the term).  Because there was no trash bin close, we forgot that we left the soiled diaper in the car while we were eating dinner.

Now you can imagine the putrid and repulsive aroma that filled the car when we got back in the car.  It was enough to blow up an entire village.

Unfortunately that’s what sin does.  Seemingly, it doesn’t bother us nor is it any big deal in the beginning.  However, when left undealt with, it penetrates every area of life and you never know what hit you.

David prayed a simple prayer that we need to remind ourselves, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts; and see if there be any wicked way in me…” (Psalm 139:23-24)
