WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH $11M?

Well, Allen and Violet Large gave 98% away.

July this year, they won the Lottery Jackpot in Canada.  After they found out about that they won, they started giving their money away to family, the fire department, churches, cemeteries, the Red Cross, Salvation Army and several hospitals.

The interesting thing was that Violet was battle cancer and going through chemotherapy at that time.

When asked why they gave most of it away, Violet’s answer was, “What you never had, you never miss.”

After this, Allen answered, “That money we won was nothing.  We have each other.”

The couple kept 2%, saving it for a ‘rainy day’.

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.” Job 1:21

    Pastor Pao,

    Read The Billionaire Who Wasn’t (the story of Chuck Fenney). He partly owns DFS (Dutyfree Stores). Very touching and inspirational. He is the world’s largest anonymous donor. He started giving out his money secretly in the 80’s, back when it was not still fashionable to do so. Everybody, including Forbes magazine thought he is still a billionaire but he only owns barely USD 1M now. All the universities, schools, hospitals, research centers that he build doesn’t have a plaque,press release, honorary degree or any mention of him.

    He allowed people to finally tell the story so that they will be inspired to give and realized that money is not everything.

    If I win the lottery. I’d stay home with my kids and play all day! That is my dream–faith goal! hahahaha

    If our “shepherds” would only make it clear to their sheep that to love the world is to be an enemy of God, that they cannot serve two masters at one time, that God does not promise anyone health, wealth or prosperity but seeks repentant hearts because all of these are yet to be claimed at Christ’s reign here on earth as it is in Heaven, that to be first in the kingdom of God is to sell their possessions and not to acquire them! that narrow is the gate to the Kingdom, that as believers we are to carry the cross, that in this world we will have troubles as Jesus’ disciples, that it is easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God..then there would be many Christians like this couple and that there would be many missionaries because they understood the very Word of God.

    but you could see through the lifestyles of these wolves in sheep skin that they themselves are lovers of this world! they come to the Philippines with empty pockets, now they’re living large and tell that what they accumulated is from God?

    they preach about not being envious or jealous but they themselves are object envy and jealousy. they testify on how blessed they are materially, while the poor listen in envy..do not cause one of these little ones to sin! blind leaders of the blind! they are who the Bible say you are: false prophets of this present evil age who gives false hope with their health, wealth and prosperity preachings. focus on the Word of God, of true repentance! look at their followers..they too have become ambitious! waiting for their breakthroughs while there are much more important matters that the Bible taught us.

    Imagine how it would be like if John the Baptist were preaching about health, wealth and prosperity. Imagine how it would be like if Noah, in his arch were preaching about health, wealth and prosperity. They never taught anything like this. They taught about repentance! Hate the world!
