JUST SIT AND PRAY…

sick_boy

My wife and I visited a friend who was going through a life-threatening illness.  And that person was having a hard time with God answering differently from what was expected.

The easiest thing to do is to give pat answers and cliche’s –
“God has a purpose.”
“God works all things for the good of those who love Him.”
“Let go and let God.”
“God is good all the time… All the time, God is good.”
“His thoughts are higher than our thoughts…”

These are not necessarily wrong answers.  But it may not be the very things they’d need to hear at that time.

Maybe… just maybe… the best thing to do at that moment is to sit, commiserate and pray.
