Have you ever felt like God gave you a promise but the fulfillment seems delayed?
Here’s what we learn from the life of David:
God’s promises may take years, but His timing is perfect. Think about David. He was anointed as a teenager but he didn’t become king right away. David waited roughly 15 years between anointing and full kingship. Why? Because His rise was not political luck but covenant fulfillment.
God was shaping him, forming him, and preparing him for the weight of the calling.
And the same is true for you.
You might be in a season where you’re asking,
“Lord, when? How long?”
But hear this:
Trust in God’s long process.
Because —
Waiting seasons are not wasted seasons; they form the person God intends you to become.
So instead of despising the delay… lean into it.
God may be working deeper than you can see.
Let me leave you with this question:
Where in my life am I waiting for God to fulfill a promise—and how is He forming me during the wait?
