Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics was interviewed in the Phoenix Suns locker room after winning an away game. The Celtics ruled the NBA in the 70’s and 80’s with back to back championships (11 out of 13 seasons)
He was asked why they were winning championships left and right.
His response? A classic one…
“The game has been scheduled. We have to play it. Might as well win.”
I like that. I really like that answer.
